The final concert of the season features three works from the last gasp of the 19th Century including Elgar's iconic Enigma Variations. Josef Suk was the son-in-law of Dvorak and was hugely influenced by the great man. His Scherzo Fantastique, with guaranteed ear-worm, is heard before Debussy's three symphonic landscapes, Trois Nocturnes, which complete a colourful, spectacular summer concert.
