We're Back!
July 2021 Sheffield Things are looking up... The sun is out and there is at last a possibility to perform again in October. We're kicking off our new season with Mozart, Rameau and Schubert, including music from Les Indes galantes - a story of love in exotic climes... Peru, the Ottoman Empire and Persia. Mozart's wholly original Symphony No. 40 and the Symphony No. 5 by Schubert, his loveliest, sunniest symphony, mark a joyous return to Sheffield Cathedral! |
Support from the Kurt Weill Foundation
April 2021 New York, US We are very excited to have received financial support from the Kurt Weill Foundation for our performance of Weill's Symphonic Nocturne in our Jazz Origins programme at the Sheffield City Hall in June 2022! Also on the programme is Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue with pianist Christopher Devine, as well as a rare performance of William Grant Still's Afro-American Symphony No. 1. |
